Hi! I’m JC 👋 I have the privilege of leading the GitHub Next team, and exploring the future of software with the inspiring people you see here.

Before joining GitHub Next, I served as the technical advisor of the CEO for GitHub (Thomas Dohmke). Prior to that, I was at Microsoft for 15 years, and worked across nearly every part of the developer stack (e.g. Visual Studio, Codespaces, SQL Server, web frameworks, mobile tools, browser tools, etc.).

I grew up in Bradenton, Florida, and currently live in Seattle, Washington. I have two kids, and love road trips, spending time at the beach/outdoors, drawing, sports (mostly baseball and football), and storytelling of all forms (writing, comedy, products, etc.).
